BASECAMP 16 AND BASECAMP 20 FLOOR PLAN COMPARISONS

Mar. 18 2022 Airstream RVs By Julie

In this blog, we will provide you with complete details about the base camp, it was originally made up to a 16-foot floor plan, but later on, it was added to the 20 foot in the year 2020. For the people who want extra rooms for sleeping, entertainment, and eating in. However, both the camps are similar to each other. So, now let's look over the blog to compare both the base camps.

1: KITCHENS:

Let's compare the kitchens of each base camp:

Base camp 16:

In base camp 16, the kitchen was built with a view out of extensive windows. The two gas burners were covered so it can be double as an extra space for the counter when they are not in use. Then there is a round and huge sink constructed amazingly. There is a microwave available inside the counter, even storage and fridges are also available. There is some extra space for placing tools, shoes, etc., in this area.

Base camp 20:

The two gas burners were covered so it can be double as an extra space for the counter when they are not in use. Then there is a round and huge sink constructed amazingly. At the same time, the storage and fridge are on each side, so in this base camp, you will have some extra space for your refrigerator. The microwave is situated above the fridge.

2: BATHROOMS:

Floor plans of both the bathrooms are being made as a wet bath, which means that the whole space will get wet, and you have to clean the entire space.

But, in base camp 20, the height of the travel trailer is more, so it means you will have a tall washroom. The height in 20 is approximately 6'7, and in 16, it is about 3.5, so you have to take out the shower head to clean the gear.

3: SIZE AND LAYOUT:

The major difference between the base camp is space; after entering base camp 16, you will get to see your kitchen at the right, washroom straight, and the sleeping space towards the left.

In base camp 20, you will see a U shaped dinette right after entering inside the door. While the seating space at the front has plenty of extra space for adults to spend time and gossip, laugh or sleep. While the bathroom is exactly similar and still in the same position and your kitchen covers both the sides of the aisle and the storage launching wet bath and other appliances directly left to the entrance door. In its bed size, approximately two people can easily fit with some dogs.

In base camp 16, two rare benches are about 24 in 76 in, and it works as a single bed. Half bed and complete beds are also available. It is comfortable as your table will be helpful and become your bed support while the back cushion fills inside the centre gap. As mentioned earlier, base camp 16 has an extra storage space that is even covered while placing some equipment or appliances in small storage compartments. This is a special compartment that always prevents moisture from the pool.
